Midwest Community in Millersburg provides a variety of paid vocational work opportunities for those that come to our program. We offer a retail store on site that our individuals run. Our staff work daily on growing our individuals who are learning new employment skills through customer service, money management, employment leadership, time management, and appropriate communication. Our individuals make a variety of different products such as lip scrubs, body scrubs, soaps, wood crafts, teeth whitener, candy, body pillows, lap blankets, as well as homeless mats. We recycle plastic bags to make the homeless mats, and re-melt used candles, purifying the wax, to make new candles, thus making less trash for our landfills. Our individuals shine on the side of creativity in the candle making area, now making specialized candled such as root beer floats, cupcakes, hot chocolate with marshmallows, and ice cream sundae's.
